Why under the kids link on the website genderads.com all the ads of girls who are half naked? Shouldn’t kids ads be of little kids playing with toy, a puppy or being fed by their mother? I do not like the fact girls are being depicted like that, especially younger girls. It just makes it seem like girls are only presented in sexual ways. This was something Lianne George touched on when I was reading. Some of the other ads such as the doll ads also depicted women in unfortunate ways. The dolls were super skinny with hardly any cloths on. But, when you look at the male ads they are all in suites and showing of their muscles. They were not being depicted the same way as women. So, I would like to know why women are being presented this way because I do not appreciate it. I think it is really wrong. It’s giving the wrong message to younger girls on how you should look and act.
